Harry Martin joined My9 News as the co-anchor of The 10 O’Clock News in January 2003. He has more than 30 years of experience as a general assignment reporter, news anchor and co-host.
Before becoming the weekday news anchor at My9, Harry worked at WNYW FOX 5 News for six years as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor. Harry has also worked at WABC-7 Eyewitness News where he anchored the 6 PM and 11 PM weekend broadcast and Eyewitness New This Morning.

Harry began his broadcast career in college at WXAC-AM & FM in Reading, Pennsylvania (above). Although he graduated with a degree in Pre-Med (yes he wanted to be a doctor), he found that he enjoyed broadcasting more than his “official” college subjects. He worked his way through college as a music teacher, professional musician, and a Sunday morning radio show host.
An avid photographer, Harry began his television career as a “stringer”, shooting, writing, editing, and voicing news reports for WLYH-TV in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 1974 he was hired full time as a general assignment reporter, anchor and sports anchor at WLYH-TV. He has also held reporter and anchor positions at WBNG Binghamton, New York; WBAL Baltimore, Maryland; WPVI Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and WTNH New Haven, Connecticut.
Harry has been honored by Philadelphia Society of Professional Journalists and by Sigma Delta Chi. In 1989, Harry received an Emmy for his work at WTNH-TV in New Haven, Connecticut. He has been honored by the New Jersey Associated Press Association for Best Newscast and received an Emmy Nomination for Best Newscast in 2004 and 2007. The New Jersey State Firemen’s Mutual Benevolent Association awarded Harry with their George Steele Media Award (one of their highest civilian honors) for his participation in the Governor’s Commission on Fire Prevention. Harry has also been honored by the New York City Police Department for his role in “Crimestoppers”, a news feature helping to capture criminals.
He has covered stories ranging from the launch of the first space shuttle, Challenger; the explosion of the Challenger; the London Broadcast of LIVE-AID; the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky sex scandal and the Starr Report; the bombing of the World Trade Center; the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center; the 2004 Democratic National Convention and the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City.

Harry lives in New Jersey with his wife, Sarah Wallace of WABC-7 and their daughter, Sara and son, James. They are the proud owners of three Viszlas, although they occasionally ask each other why?
